Implementation Plan Update: Care Van

This past week we learned more about developing implementation plans for our venture. We planned out many of the necessary steps in bringing our idea to fruition, including applying for non profit status, getting the necessary licenses and insurance policies, and beginning to develop relationships with partners and vendors that will make our venture a success.

One interesting idea that was brought to our attention was a pilot run. This would allow us to test the logistics of travel and maintenance. We thought that we could use part of flu season as a good pilot period. If we offer flu vaccines to the elderly we can identify areas where they are most in need of our services. This will also allow us to find any problems in the process, and can help us cultivate and strengthen relationships in the community. We could advertise our brand, or stay generic in case things go badly.

How would you guys pilot your ventures?
