Building an Organisation.

The quiz on this link is for already existing businesses which are up and running. But I think by doing this quiz it helped me think about these questions as to how I would hire people and at what level I would like to be engaged in the hiring process. Its a great way to start your HR Planning. I do agree with the article in our reading on having a five cornerstone team , but having those five people from your close friends and family according to me is not a good idea. Having a few people from family and friends is fine but not too many. As it complicates relationships and makes doing business difficult. I would ideally like to hire from various backgrounds to have a creative and innovative workforce.

Some other web pages that had some useful information:

Core Values:

Help people discover sustainability in every day living.

Help children develop their entrepreneurial skills.

Innovation is the main cornerstone of our work.

Profit, from work that benefits humanity.

Core Purpose:

To be a role model and tool for sustainable living practices in India.

BHAG - Big Hairy Audacious Goals:

Introduce Sustainable living as a way of living in Indian homes and corporations.

Vivid Description:

We will deliver services to businesses and homes in India that become the standard for sustainable living worldwide using Innovative techniques to adapt to culture change. In affect preserving the earth for future generations.

As entrepreneurs we are investing so much of our own personal time and effort in building an organisation, will giving someone an equal stake in the business ( as the article suggested) evoke the same passion and feeling towards the organisation? It would be great to have your thoughts on the same.
