In these processes, I thought that there is a lack of
information in Mexico. Not all the people have access to information.
Population is digitally divided. Entrepreneurs are limited in resources, and
micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) have a big potential for
development. I also thought that MSMEs need access to more resources such as
information and knowledge, to improve their managerial skills, and their
accountability and financing. Current government projects are directed to MSMEs
legally constituted with at least two years on business. The majority of MSMEs
don’t fulfill these requirements. Rethinking on a new way to provide this
access to information and knowledge will benefit them and development in Mexico
via an increase in productivity, expansion of business, and therefore economic
growth.
While following this approach of thinking, thinking and
rethinking, I easily found the idea for my social venture; providing knowledge
to MSMEs to increase productivity could develop the sector in Mexico. I will
assess this by establishing resource hubs in which a person could play the role
of the savvy man or woman to the entrepreneurs in the community by advising
them in simple inquiries, and then providing them advanced, generic, consulting
services.
The takeaway from this post is to think on an issue, think on
its current solutions, and rethink on how to improve its current solutions. Once
the social venture is determined, it is necessary to define a pitch to the
project and defend it. In the next post to this blog, I will write about some
considerations needed to state before developing the pitch, and the type of
questions that should be answered before proceeding with the pitch.
